A month or so ago I saw an amateur video of a street performer that has now been remade and is again doing its rounds on the social media. The performers name is Isaac and the wheel is called a cyr wheel. Lots of rotational dynamics to talk about in this one. Would make a great basis for a student investigation or even an EE. As with a lot of real life examples it is complicated by being 3 dimensional so a lot of the manoeuvres are rather difficult to model.

I wonder how many times Isaac has got his fingers caught on the wrong side of the ring?
