Having dealt with measurement and uncertainties my first year classes have moved on to relationships. When dealing with relationships it's impossible not to think about the more common use of the term. Best to start with a simple relationship which in reality often become complicated. Are relationships linear or non linear? Are you an independent or dependent variable?

As you can see from this SMARTboard clip, my hand writing is not very good and my students are always telling me to re-write words. I think I might get some of those clickers that interact with the SMARTboard so they can continually give feedback on my writing. Electric shock treatment might also be effective.
