One over the eight

Saturday 18 March 2017

These are my EE supervisees for the coming session. as you can see there are 8 which isn't one over the eight its just 8. That's good because one over the eight is one too many which is bad. However there are one to many since the IB stipulates that the maximum number is 7. I'm hoping this number's flexible otherwise I will have to let one go. A varied bunch this year:

  • Temperature and frequency of guitar strings
  • Sun spots and aurora
  • Drag on Ferrari racing cars (spot the Italian)
  • Applying relativistic mechanics to data from CERN
  • Comparing rotating sound sources to binary stars
  • The speed of sound in different gases
  • spectral response of photovoltaic cells.
  • the effect of air on the flow of liquid from plastic bottles

Next week I'll be doing the first round of reflection interviews. Best to get these done before they get to far otherwise the reflections won't show progress.
