Starting off the course
Introduction to psychological research
Attached you will find a week by week outline of the key ideas that are taught in the introductory unit to the course. The focus of the introductory unit is on how psychological research is carried out and what psychologists actually study. This unit has a lot of the vocabulary that students will be using throughout the course. The plan is based on an every-other-day 80 minute block schedule.
This unit plan is simply a listing of the key ideas that were taught each week. For information about activities during this unit, please see "Teaching about research" in the research methods section section of this website.
