Hi John! Is it not enough for "knowledge and understanding" to provide either theories or studies? I am confused since I had given a lot more marks.

Dear Marjo,

Not sure which one of the essays you are referring to. It is not just the student provide the theories and research, but that they used them effectively and describe them in adequate detail. If you have questions about a specific essay, let me know and I can perhaps clarify further.

Hi John, must they use studies to provide support for each theory or is it enough for the student to just evaluate the key ideas of the theories only? In the marking schedules its not explicitly stated that supporting studies must be used in the answer

Bianca, it would be expected that there would be research to support claims. Having marked a lot of papers I can say that this is what is done by most students.
