SAQ: Explain how one biological factor may affect one cognitive process.
Is it possible to use Janowsky et al, 1972 to argue that noradrenaline levels (biological factor?) affect perception/memory (...in fact, how do you define the cognitive process that leads to suicidal thoughts neatly and simply?). I had a student do this in the term exam for an 8pt question. Thanks.

The study was of depression, not of a cognitive process. The IB would give it in the low markbands. Potentially, zero marks. Students need to focus on the aim of the study. If the aim was to study perception, than it would earn credit. As I far as I can read, that was not the goal of this study.
