GoogleEarth for the human body!

Everyone must have seen GoogleEarth by now.  Type in a location and swoosh the computer flies you in to the precise spot you wanted.  Google has gone into outer space and the deep ocean too.  Now Google has done the same kind of search for the human body.

The Body Browser begins with an athletic woman and with a slider bar, the viewer pares off layer after layer of tissues. The muscles are the first layer exposed followed by the skeleton.  The organs, blood vessels and finally the nerves appear.  Labels can be turned on or off.  Zoom in to limit the view and click on a specifc target.  The search function works if you use the term Google chose (muscles are latin names but not all organs are- the oviduct is called the fallopian tube which is correct but not necessarily the name you might first choose)

The body can be tlited, turned and tipped all the while the layers can be viewed and zoomed in on!  This is a lot of fun and can bring a new dimension to the study of the organ systems.
