ICT

The IB requires that students use a data logger at least once in the two year program, so the minimum investment would be one data logger interface and one low cost probe but this would not really be satisfactory.  The cost of the data loggers can certainly be spread across the other sciences, maths, geography, as well as with pre IB classes.  The sooner students learn how to use this type of equipment, the better students will be able to use them for their IB work.

Item Type Order for
colorimeter 3 per class
gas pressure sensor 3 per pair of students
pH probe 1 per pair of students
temperature probe 3 per pair of students
data logger interface 1

per student

There are many other probes available from the suppliers of data logging equipment so you really need to decide what you want, how much can you spend and get as much as you can!
