Listening comprehension is not really the same as reading comprehension, and so the question mechanisms by which listening is tested have to be not quite the same.The difference between reading and listening is that in reading we can study meaning, whereas in listening we have to catch meaning. Or, to put it another way, reading texts exist in space: we can see the whole text and search in our own time for the meaning...
