I start this idea with the activity from topic 8, Modelling Population Growth. Students need to plot the population change over time in two populations, a yeast population and a bee populations. These two populations demonstrate the different possibilities of a population reaching an equilibrium in its environment, its carrying capacity, or a population crashing.
