How to teach physics

Friday 19 May 2017

Is it all about passing exams? I don't think so but at the same time I want my students to do well in them. There is a famous saying about fishing.

"There's more to fishing than catching fish" and there is more to physics than passing exams.

I gave up board  teaching two years ago. Now my students follow the activities on this website. I haven't switched on the SMART board all year. The activities work well but there could be more interaction with me and between students. I was greatly impressed with the way my 3 classes tackled the investigation. When trying to solve their own problems motivation was high, the lab was busy most evenings. I interacted with students all lesson and answered questions via Google classroom after it. It would be marvelous is every lesson was like this.

I'm working on it.
