Alberte

Alberte. Alberte Thude. I never did ask her how she pronounces her second name, maybe you don't pronounce the e in which case it would be Thud. Alberte .... Thud. Like she's just fallen over. Or maybe it's Thoo duh like Alberte thoo duh looking glass. That would be quite apt since her IA was on optics. As you can see she is from Denmark. We have students from all over the world so get them all to paint their flags on their faces so we know where they are from.

Alberte did well in her physics exam. I of course can't reveal her grade but she did well, very well, very well indeed. Some say you can't teach the physics course with a purely student centred approach, well..........

Her IA was part of the sample, the top part, so I am publishing it on my website as an example. Aperture size and depth of field (Alberte 2017) . It didn't get 24 but was very close, the marks can be seen by subscribing teachers. There was no moderation factor.

It's an interesting example as it would not have scored so well on the old system, no linear relationship, no max and min lines, no uncertainty in gradient. It's an investigation not a lab report. Note how she uses Algodoo to extend the investigation, neat. Personal engagement is obvious, no need to write how she is interested in photography in the intro.
