1. A telescope can just resolve two stars a distance 3.46 x 1011m apart at a distance of 10 lyr. How close will two stars be at a distance of 15lyr when just resolved by the same telescope? Solution 2. Two point sources of blue light are just resolved at a distance of 20m by an optical instrument. At what distance will it be possible to resolve two red points seperated by the same distance?
