IB Physics: Newton's 2nd law and rotation

We have developed Newton"s second law for examples of constant linear acceleration. By taking small steps, where the acceleration is considered constant, we can apply it to rotational problems.Starting by applying Newton"s second law to a point mass attached to a long massless rod its possible to derive the rotational motion version. This probably won"t be asked for in the exam but interesting to see where it comes from....
