Starting by applying Newton"s second law to a point mass attached to a long massless rod its possible to derive the rotational motion version. This probably won"t be asked for in the exam but interesting to see where it comes from. Most important thing here is to know how to apply the equation so again some problem solving in class maybe a good idea.It"s possible to set up demos with something like the Pasco rotational...
