Momentum and velocity

In these notes the I have tried to derive the formula E2 =p2c2 + mo2c4 but it"s not very convincing. I don"t bother anymore, just give the students the formula and get then to solve some problems. Again use of MeV makes things easy.I also used to derive the velocity transformation formula but this is also not necessary and doesn"t add a great deal apart from confusion.
