The goal of health promotion strategies is to enhance good health and prevent illness. WHO (1986) defined health promotion as “the process of enabling people to increase control over, and to improve their health”. However, it is not easy to get people to behave in healthy ways because of the many factors that influence health habits, which include such variables as social class, gender, education, and culture.
