Knowing that stress has so many negative effects on our health, it is important that we find ways to manage our stress. In theory, we can just leave stress situations and escape the stressor. If I am stressed by having too many after-school commitments, I can drop out of a club or decide to only attend once a month. But often this is not an option - or it is a difficult option.
