Hi Heather
Is the 6VACAF form mostly completed in year 2?

Heather McReynolds 26 September 2017 - 21:07

Hi Andrew, yes, the first meeting is in year one, the other two likely in year 2, in the end you complete it when you do your IA

andrew watson 20 December 2017 - 09:34

Hi Heather
I was wondering if there is an example of a fully completed form.

Heather McReynolds 21 December 2017 - 10:43

andrew watson 21 December 2017 - 10:48

Heather McReynolds 21 December 2017 - 15:36

Done! Fictional but does the trick nonetheless.

Hello Heather
I have a student with a lot of absences due to illness over the last two years. She now wants to submit some work she did in grade 10. Is this permissible?

Heather McReynolds 25 January 2018 - 15:46

Theo, I dont think this is really acceptable, but if she revisits the old work, reworks it to bring it in line with her other artwork and her exhibition concept, this might work. Its a difficult dilemma I understand.

Hi Heather, as the 6VACAF form is no longer accepted while uploading screens for 2018 exam, may you please upload the dummy CAF form if you have the format ?
Thank you
Nanda Das

Heather McReynolds 14 February 2018 - 10:20

Nanda, use this form for 2018 submission, there is no new form available as of yet.

Hi Heather,
Is there a word limit on the VACAF, and if so is each box limited or a whole page limit? I would like to know before I put hours into writing comments that do not fit. Thanks!

Heather McReynolds 3 April 2018 - 20:19

Apparently no word limit so cut and paste as you like into the PDF ;) ;)

Hi Heather,
when i joined this School student are already in year 2 most of the students were not satisfied with the work done in year 1 and so we started all over again. so basically exhibition work and Comparative study was started and completed in year 2 . My question is if its ok to submit meeting record all done under the period of 1 year or do i need to collect meeting record from previous teacher as well?

Heather McReynolds 4 April 2018 - 10:07

Javeria, I would use the VACAF form precisely to outline what you have just told me. the form is used for authentification purposes, not for assessment.

javeria Ali 5 April 2018 - 05:06

Thanks , Heather

Heba Yosri 4 April 2018 - 13:16

Hi Heather,
This form includes two tables one for the IA (The Exhibition) and the other one for the EA (Comaparative Study), Do I submit the whole form with the IA requirements file?As in the E submission requirements, it is listed in the Exhibition part.
Thank you!

Hi Heather
Am I supposed to use the new CAF form for this summer exam and where do I find it?

Francis Trainor 26 April 2018 - 05:14

Hi Heather
The CAF has a preset font size of 12. I have not been able to get around that even when writing in a word doc with font size 10; the CAF converts this to 12. Jayson Paterson suggested to do this because the document does not allow unlimited characters. I've not been able to get around this as the CAF stops allowing characters after four lines of words.

Heather McReynolds 26 April 2018 - 14:02

I asked IBO assessment centre and got this answer : "Thanks for your query. No, there isn't a word count or character limit for the 6/VACAF. " in theory you should be able to keep typing!
