This is great, but I noticed that this curatorial rational is 830 words, 130 over the limit. Are students not penalised for this? Can we allow them to exceed the limit to further their point? I know that a lot of my students find it difficult to explain everything with only 700 or 400 words (HL/SL).

Dana, students are strongly advised NOT to exceed the limit, examiners may choose not to read beyond the 700 words :(

I noticed that the student practiced or rather based her 2 year research by using photograph and an installation piece for her exhibition. How does she meet all the requirements from the art making table.. I have a similar student who is intending to practice his research on urban life using photograph. Is this ok for his PP documenting and final exhibition. Hope I make sense...

Heather McReynolds 13 February 2018 - 14:12

Daniel, for the PP he must meet the art making forms requirements for his level, ....but that work may not necc all be included in the exhibition and may be more experimental. Hope this makes sense?
