How to offer all the options

Saturday 21 November 2015

What do you do if your students want to do different options? The old syllabus, with its 2 options at least meant most students could do one of their favourite options. Last year I decided all my students would do Engineering and, knowing no better, they agreed. This year several students specifically took physics so they could study astrophysics but most want to do engineering, what should I do?

Now that I have shifted to a student centred approach the solution is easy. They study different options at the same time, I just need to prepare a set of activities for each option. Oh, not such an easy solution then. I aim to complete the first set of activities for engineering, astro and relativity before christmas. We'll complete all the SL work during next term.
