- Hi Chris, yes, that sounds like a good starting point. If the student's initial research wobbles into divergent areas, bringing it back to time/place can be a useful set of parameters. Sometimes if the works are too disparate, it's a challenge...
- That is really helpful- thanks so much. At the very initial stages of research, so suggested they do some digging about what key pieces of architecture could be investigated- and see if they fall into a specific time/ place. Does that sound...

- You are spot on in your thinking! Visual analysis must always be included throughout. The use of a primary source that the student can visit is always an added enrichment. Perhaps they could take their own photos as well.
