5 weeks to go!

By Vivien Jack

5 week countdown to November exams!

Here are my top 5 tips for students on how to STUDY for the upcoming November examinations.

  1. Set a timer when studying. I really like using the Pomodoro technique (25 minutes study + 5 minute break. After 2 hours, take a 20 to 30 minute break.) https://tomato-timer.com/
  2. Time management during exams can be practised at home by answering past paper questions under timed conditions.
  3. Utilise study apps to make revision easy on the commute to and from school. The London School of Economics has a useful list of recommended free and freemium study apps here https://info.lse.ac.uk/current-students/Assets/Articles/10-best-apps-for-students.
  4. Draw up a list of all the formulae NOT in the formulae sheet. For example, break-even analysis has a lot of formulae that are not listed on the formulae sheet.
  5. Yield to self care - Make sure to get enough sleep (seriously!), spend time with loved ones, exercise, and eat nutritious meals. Your wellbeing will translate to improved productivity and results.

For Megamin Mining application activities (and answers), visit the L7E website (www.level7education.com) to purchase the November 2021 Case Study Pack and PowerPoint Pack.

All the best!
