Sources of conflict in the workplace

IB Business Management: Sources of conflict in the workplace

Conflict refers to a situation of friction or mutually exclusive goals between two or more parties. It occurs when the needs and interests of workers are ignored or because the organization cannot meet the needs of all its stakeholders at the same time. Conflict also arises due to disagreements or incompatibilities between these stakeholder groups, and results in a lack of cooperation, communication and productivity.
