Option 1: You might want to use one of these practice exams as a pre-assessment, testing what students can and can’t do in terms of textual analysis.  The information you gain from using this as a pre-assessment will then inform your teaching.  This can be done in the first month of the course to give you an idea of where to go from here.

Option 2: Maybe you need to set a “cover” lesson for a substitute teacher.  You’ve caught the flu, and you just don’t have the energy to create something yourself.  Use one of these! 

Option 3: Perhaps you’ve already used all of the IB Paper 1 exams from previous years and you are now frantically trying to create your own.  You don’t have to, if you don’t want to – there are now a total of nine different exams, all from different text types, on the site.
