- The Guide is the ultimate source: "Only a qualitative analysis is required concerning the impact of damping on the frequency response of a driven oscillator." I'd say you're right.
- Fair enough. What about something like if an oscillating system undergoes critical damping, the system returns its equilibrium position within one oscillation. Critical vs light vs heavy damping should only be treated qualitatively, right?
