Buss (1989)

Buss"s classic study of what the sexes look for in a partner is one of the largest cross-cultural studies on the topic, with over 10.000 participants. This study is appropriate for evolutionary arguments of behavior as well as biological arguments for human attraction. As it uses surveys, it is a good study for research methods as well. The original study can be accessed here. Background information
