Hi Heather. Some of my HL students are creating screens for the PP that relates to the studio works they have made in relation to the CS. I assume it's not a problem even though there might be a few overlaps between the 'Connection to own art' screens in the CS?

Heather McReynolds 4 October 2017 - 19:15

Birgitte, I dont see this as duplication of work, the focus is different, I think its fine.

Hi Heather,

Is it okay to include some photographs of the finished artworks to show the final stage of the art-making processes or do you suggest not to include them at all in the PP?

Heather McReynolds 15 October 2017 - 10:33

Yes Bora, as long as the work is labelled "resolved work for exhibtion"

Hi, Just to point out that the percentages shown on the Accessible PP Progress Rubric ( Students) do not add up to 100% but 102.

the percentages on the PP progress rubric are meant to be a rough guide but you are right should be adjusted to 34% for skills and techniques ...this is to help students work towards the criteria and to help you calculate an interim grade, not a final mark

Hi Heather. Some of my students have referred to the VAJ as 'their sketchbook' in the PP. Is this problematic? Should it be edited?

Heather McReynolds 13 March 2018 - 19:41

Elizabeth, I think examiners will understand... I wouldnt worry. Next year tell them to call it my visual journal

Heather: Do the Resource Citation screens count in the total screen count...maximum of 25 WITH the Resources or WITHOUT? Thanks.

Heather McReynolds 20 March 2018 - 18:01

the sources screen does NOT count in total screen count
