Hi, The question of sources and how to add those in the CS is not completely clear to me.
Is it necessary to add the full url address of a source in each screen or is it enough to reference towards the listed sources in the bibliography? The students write in MLA format for the Extended essay so they wonder if they can write ONLY a reference to the bibliography in the screens. In examples shown, in some there are URL links (at the bottom, in midle of screen), in others not.
I would be so grateful to receive feedback on this as soon as it is possible as the students are now starting to submit their work.
Thank you
Kind regards, Christina

Hi Christina, yes they can do it in MLA format as you describe.I think the best way is to include brief in text citation ( label images with artist, title but not URL or other source info) and include a complete reference in the sources page :)

Is the sources page count to the whole amount of screens?

Heather McReynolds 21 August 2017 - 15:37

No Stalina, its a separate document

Matthew McGrath 9 March 2017 - 14:43

Hi Heather,
is there any formatting restrictions on the list of sources? How should sources be listed? In any special font/size?
Thank you
Best
Matthew

Heather McReynolds 9 March 2017 - 14:54

Hi Matthew, no restrictions, each school may choose their preferred format. Aim for consistency and clarity I say!

Emma Fravigar 15 March 2017 - 23:10

Do the list of sources have to be a separate document? Will the students lose marks if it is on the same document?
thanks

Heather McReynolds 17 March 2017 - 09:46

Hi Emma, it is meant to be uploaded as a separate word doc, there is a space for this. Idont think they would lose marks but make sure they also duplicate the source page and upload it in sources slot.

Hi, The guide says HL 13 -25 screens and SL 9 - 18..... Has this changed?

Stephen Davidson 27 March 2017 - 01:49

Sorry ignore my last post - that's the PP hahahaha - it's Monday morning........

Ana Martinez 29 March 2017 - 09:08

Hi Heather, Please I want to know if students can include pages that they are submitting from their process in the comparative study. Thanks a lot

Heather McReynolds 29 March 2017 - 17:36

No Ana, that would be duplication. There may be some overlap in content but the screens are not the same ones.
