.The experience of war ... Unlike most previous generations in human history, very few IB teachers and students will have any experience at all of war, nor, thankfully, do we expect such experience. This is not to say that we don"t receive a lot of information about war, through news reports and feature films ... but all of that is processed and formulated for us, and does not in any sense amount to true personal experience....
