Student Access (English version)

viernes 29 de septiembre 2023

The purpose of this blog post is to show you, teachers, an overview of all the materials that you have available on our IBDP Spanish A site, to share with your students through the Student Access feature.

The IBDP Spanish A site and the Student Access feature

This is a very useful resource for you to assign tasks, assess and monitor them.  It fits perfectly to face to face, virtual or hybrid classes.

In addition, it is totally free! You only need to be a subscriber.

Teachers and students

Pedagogical tasks instructions on our site are always intended for the student as the recipient, but are designed considering the teacher as a permanent guide. In other words, the teacher decides what material to share with students and how they can be used (as study, practice, or evaluation tasks), even those that have been configured for direct student access.

Specifically for the purpose of assigning tasks, teachers count on this free Acceso al alumno (Student access) feature. Students will access this material through a separate interface called IBDP Spanish A - Student Pages. You can see it in the following section.

Students will find instructions on how to use this interface, as well as information about the course (content and assessment), in the Para comenzar: estudiantes (Start here: students) section of IBDP Spanish A. Therefore, it is directly accessible to students and free. They can start using it right after you subscribe to the site!

What the students see on their page

On their page, the students will find both the materials that are directly accessible, as well as those selected by the teacher according to his/her criteria.

Direct access material

The following is the direct access material:

1. Para comenzar: estudiantes (Start here: students)

2. Sections that students use as instructed by the teacher, related to the texts analysed in the work units:

  • ¿Practicamos para los exámenes? (Do we practice for the exams?): in each of the blocks of the different units below.
  • Actividades para los alumnos (Student activities): in each of the core sections: Language and Literature and Literature.

3. Sections that are not linked to the work units and that students can use independently: they are useful for studying or reviewing content in the process of self-managing their learning:

We hope this post will be useful for you to make the most of the IBDP Spanish A page and to guide your students in the use of all the material available for learning, practicing, and assessing the contents of Language and Literature and Literature.

See you next time!
