Hi Heather,
I have a student who is only submitting photography for his works presented from the PP and for his exhibition. Although he was taught to many art forms and produced art in other forms he is refusing to include the other forms in his submission. How will this hurt him in his External Assessment?
Thank you,

Heather McReynolds 17 March 2017 - 21:03

It will for sure in the PP, not necc in the exhibition however.

Hi Heather,
To be clear, in the submission of the PP 9-18 screens are these screens sufficient to meet the requirement of the exploration of the materials? (2 columns?)
Or does an SL student need to submit 4-7 photographs of unresolved work and/or resolved work to accompany the PP screens? I was under the understanding that we needed to submit photographs of unresolved/resolved work for submitted works, in addition to the (9-13 Screens form the PP.) Sorry but I have a very concerned student about the portion of the submission. Thank you for any clarification that you can offer.

Dear Ann, I think you may be confusing the PP submission and the EXhibition, the requirements for SL students are submit 9–18 screens PP, and the 4-7 artworks are for the exhibition

Hi Hearther,
I thought they could send 4-7 pieces of varied media, separate from their exhibition which could be all one media. Plus the PP submission.

Ann Forget 21 March 2017 - 17:36

I am confused because the exhibition submission can be in all one media but it is also stated that intentions are consistently and effectively fulfilled through the selection and application of media, processes and techniques and the considered use of imagery. If a student submits all photographs in their exhibit and all photographs for their 4-7 pieces how is it shown that they have dome the above requirement? Solely from their PP?
Thank you, just trying to get this right.

Dear Ann, the 4-7 pieces submitted for the SL Exhibtion can be in any media, or in only one media. The 9-18 screens submitted for the SL PP on the other hand must address the art making forms table requirements and may include the development of the work presented for the exhibition ( and images of the resolved work labelled as such). I hope it is clear to you now.;)
