Dear Heather
I have a question about the part of the CS that applies to HL connection with students' own work.
I have tried to get the CS largely completed in the first year, but this sometimes presents a problem for HL students who may change direction with their own work in Y2, resulting in it possibly no longer connecting with the artists they chose for their CS in Y1.
I'd be grateful for you advice.

My advice Andrew, is to choose artists that they feel strongly connected with or influenced by to start, but if this isnt the case, they could make connections with studio work from year 1 ( remember the art work itself is not assessed but the ability to make connections), or even explain how this may have been a starting point and how they have developed the work in relation to...does this make sense?

Thanks, Heather
That makes perfect sense.

Dear Heather
Just a few technical questions:
Is the list of sources counted as page?
Is there a specified font?
Can there be overlap between artists/photographers examined in CS and those in PP? I'm working on the basis that the slides would not be exactly the same.

Hi Andrew, sources page not counted, uploaded separately. Font should be at least 12 point, simple and legible. Slides would definitely not be the same, altho some of the same artists may be considered with more of a focus on technique and process in the PP.
